Visual Exploration
Finding the Balance
The initial phase involved creating mood boards that captured the dual themes. We explored a wide range of typography pairings and color palettes to find a system that could elegantly represent both the modern and the traditional.

The Design System
Grid, Type, and Color
The final design system is built on a strong, modular grid that provides structure while allowing for expressive layouts. We paired a clean, sans-serif typeface for headlines with a classic serif for body copy to honor the core theme. The color palette is muted and sophisticated, giving prominence to the photography.

The System in Action
The design system was applied across various sections of the magazine, from feature articles to department pages. The grid allows for dynamic compositions, creating a rhythmic and engaging reading experience.

Reflection
A Balancing Act
This project was a study in balance. The main challenge was to ensure that the two themes felt cohesive rather than contradictory. The final design successfully merges modern minimalism with traditional elegance, creating a unique visual language for the magazine.
