Your bucket list in motion

We all have a list of things we want to do "eventually" hike that mountain, learn that language, but they usually rot in a notes app. Bucketed is a social platform designed to operationalize your dreams. It uses AI to break impossible goals into actionable steps and "Crews" to provide the social pressure needed to actually get them done.

MVP Pitch

Motivation has a half life

The reality is that inspiration is fleeting. You might feel motivated to run a marathon after watching a documentary, but that feeling often fades quickly. We needed to design a system that allows usersto capture that spark and immediatley break it into actionable steps.

Constraints

Trust is non-negotiable

The system handles sensitive data like grades and financial status, so it had to look secure.

Gesture based navigation

Most users would be on mobile devices, so the design had to prioritize thumb-friendly interactions.

Information density

Scholarshipare text-heavy. The challenge was making them readable on small screens while maintianing the same level of information.

Why we fail at our bucket lists

he problem isn't a lack of desire; it's a lack of planning. Most people don't fail to hike the PCT because they don't want to; they fail because planning a 6-month hike is overwhelming, and doing it alone is terrifying.

Pain Points

Analysis Paralysis

Users are often overwhelmed by the sheer number of steps required to achieve a goal, leading to inaction.

Going it alone

For some users ambitious goals feel hard to pursue alone. While friends and family can be supportive, they’re rarely looped in at the right moment—when commitment and momentum actually matter.

The all or nothing mindset

Most goal setting apps focus on building habits through reminders and streaks. When progress is measured daily missed steps can feel like failures leading to users abandoning their goals altogether.

Coordinating Momentum

We shifted the focus from "tracking" to "structure." The app acts as a project manager for your goals, handling the boring logistics so you can focus on the experience.

Solutions

AI as the Architect

Instead of blank pages, AI generates realistic plans based on timelines and difficulty. These plans are then presented in a schedule that can be adjusted as needed.

Build your crew

Nothing beats the comraderie of shared experience. "Crews" allow users to form small groups with friends to tackle goals together, providing mutual support and accountability.

Journey albums

For each bucket list item, users can create a visual journal documenting their progress. This not only serves as motivation but also as a way to celebrate milestones along the way.

Onboarding Flow

The onboarding flow is designed to be quick and engaging. Students answer a series of simple questions about their academic background, interests, and financial need. As they progress, the app dynamically updates the 'Potential Money' counter, providing immediate feedback and motivation to complete the profile.

Printed Materials

To support our MVP pitch, we designed a set of printed materials including business cards and a brochure. These materials maintain the app's clean and trustworthy aesthetic, using the same color palette and typography to ensure brand consistency.
